lansdowne on two wheels

Lansdowne is the nearest hill station from delhi. It is 275 kms. ( approx. ) from delhi and it takes about 5 hour to reach there. Roads are very good, perhaps the route passes from UttarPradesh (UP) and contrary to the belief i found the UP roads very smooth. this was the biggest reason i managed to do lansdowne in 5 hours

28th Oct '07
sunday

i started early at 400 hrs from delhi and reached Kotdwar at 1000 hrs. Now Lansdowne is just 40 kms.

29th oct '07
monday
next day started again at 700 hrs after shooting the majestic Sun rise from the Tiffin top there. reached Delhi at 1200 hrs and joined office.

Lansdowne is very small hill station. I personally find 1 or max 2 day enough for this place and the near by sight seeing places like Tadkeshwar temple and Bhairogarhi. both are short treks. Thats why it can be a perfect weekend destination for Delhiites.

some people even stay as long as one whole week doing nothing, as this is a cantonment area, a very peaceful and clean hill station.

just do thru the pix meanwhile.

i'll sure load some more and add some info later.
